Coming soon will be a "Links" section where you can access websites that have useful information or products for campers and their families.

Our first link will be for Emily Labels, a company that sells personalized name labels you can use on most everything from your running shoes to your water bottles.  Now the Lost and Found bin at camps should have less items in them!  And everyone time you make a purchase through our link, Camp Amasa will receive a small commission!

Coldest Night of the Year
Tuesday, 28 February 2012 23:44

Although, it really wasn't the coldest night of the year, February 25, 2012, turned out to have a warm and fuzzy feeling for participants and organizers as over 500 walkers from Salmon Arm stepped out on a 5 and 10 km fundraising walk in support of the hungry, homeless and hurting.

Salmon Arm can be very proud of itself as we finished in 4th place with the amount raised out of 467 teams that participated across Canada and we were the smallest town!Blue touques

I was proud to be a member of the Stone Cold team, which placed 19th in Canada!

BC Camping Conference
Tuesday, 28 February 2012 22:50

Last Monday, February 6, 2012, I traveled to beautiful Stillwood Camp and Conference Centre overlooking Cultus Lake to attend the annual conference of the BC Camping Association.  This was my first time attending, and I was overwhelmed by the amazing camp and setting, the awesome food (!) and the gift of song by award-winning artist Corey Doak.

But the best part was meeting and learning from the 140 delegates from camps all over the province.

I then traveled to Chemainus to visit my daughter, Alex, and while there, we pretended we were tourists and visited Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria.  Amazing history and a truly beautiful home - I highly recommend this if you are a history buff!
