What's New in 2019?

All of the great things you loved in 2018 are back, with a few new twists!

For September 2018, we had planned an Amasa Camp at Echo Lake Bible Camp, near Vanderhoof, BC.  For reasons of the very real possibility of evacuation due to fire and smoke, we cancelled the camp.  Be we are back on for 2019 and have decided to move the dates of the camp to the end of May, rather than September and we are looking forward to this!

For the first time since before 2008, there will be a small fee increase.  The reason for this is to cover the ever-increasing costs of running camp, but we will also take away the pre-purchased T-shirt program.  Now, for $290.00 (for summer camp at Elkcanoe), your T-shirt will be included in the price!  We have seen how the T-shirts help to build community, and we felt it fair that everyone have one!

This year, to save on postage and printing costs, there will be one brochure for all six events (the two weekend retreats, the one week camp at Echo Lake and the three weeks of camp at Canoe, BC).  We hope that this will make the process of registration easier.  The prices for each camp, the deadline for payment of fees and returning information forms are set out in the brochure.  Each camper will receive an information sheet with a list of what to bring to camp, directions and the balance owing with their receipt.

Looking forward to a great time in 2019.  May God bless you and keep you until we meet again at camp!

Another Summer Is Over...

Another summer is behind us and we are looking forward and planning for Summer 2018!

We know the dates for 2018 will be:

July 9 - 13, July 30 - August 3 and August 20 - 24.  If you attended summer camp in 2017, you will automatically receive a summer camping brochure in the mail in late January.  Or you can contact me to get a form mailed to you, or the forms will be available on this website in late January.

Check back this fall to see the video of the 2017 summer pictures!

**For 2018, we are asking each camper to bring an empty, tall Pringles-type can for our summer craft.  If you like eating them, bring an extra one for a friend who may have forgotten theirs!**

Exciting News!

Especially for those who were not able to get a spot at Camp Amasa in 2016!  For 2017, instead of two camps, there will be three camps!  All three of these will run at the Elkcanoe camp in Canoe, BC.

All of the details have not been worked out, but we do know the dates for Elkcanoe.  They will be:

July 3 - 7, 2017;

July 17 - 21, 2017; and

August 7 - 11, 2017.

As usual, campers will be eligible to attend only one summer camp.  Attending either or both of the weekend retreats (March 3 -5 and November 17 - 19, 2017 at Gardom Lake Bible Camp) does not affect your eligibility to attend summer camp.

And they're off...

...the 2016 brochures that is!  Almost all of the brochures were put in the mail yesterday!  In an attempt to save on postage, the Salmon Arm campers will receive their's hand-delivered this week at various events.  On January 20, I will be in Kelowna at Trinity Baptist Friendship Club, hoping to meet up with some of our friends and some of the Vernon campers will receive their's at Vernon Christian Fellowship when I visit there on January 28, 2016.

If you want to receive a brochure sooner, they will be available on this site by the end of this week!

A moment to relax...

Now that the summer camps and fall retreat are over for this season, there is a moment to relax.  Of course, there are still things to do!  But the brochures have been sent to the printer and should be back shortly.  And registration will open up approximately mid-January.  If you were a camper in 2015, you can relax, as a brochure will automatically be sent to you in the mail.  If you were not a previous camper but would like a brochure, please use the contact form to get in touch with me.  Or, under the "Camps" tab on the website, you will see the category "Events" and there you may download either the summer camping brochure or the weekend retreat brochure, or both!
